How to cancel Audible

Cancel an Audible membership from Account Details on the Audible website, not in the mobile app. If you are on a free trial, canceling before it ends is what stops the automatic charge — Audible states plainly that the trial converts to a paid monthly subscription when it is over.

The steps

1. Sign in on the website. Use the Amazon account the membership is attached to. The mobile app does not carry the cancellation flow.
2. Open Account Details. Membership settings live here, not under app or playback preferences.
3. Find your membership. Your current plan and the option to change or cancel it are in this section.
4. Decline the alternatives. You will usually be offered a plan switch or a pause before the cancel option. These are genuinely useful if you want a break rather than an exit — but if you are leaving, keep going.
5. Confirm. Complete the final step and keep the confirmation email.
